Matrix Helical Crack Stitching Bars are grouted into walls to reconnect and reinforce cracked brick or concrete walls. Crack stitch repairs rely on the axial strength and elasticity of the helical reinforcement bars with the properties of the Matrix Grouting Compound to greatly increase the strength of brick or masonry wall.
Manufactured from stainless, austenitic steel of 6, 8, 10 mm diameters in any length from 5 cm to 10 m. Matrix Grouting Mortar, a special grouting mortar, is specifically prepared to meet the requirements of the Matrix Crack Stitching Bars, enabling a first-rate binding integration of the steel into the selected masonry.

Matrix Crack Stitching - installation
1.1 Cut slots- Size in accordance with design (depth, vertical spacing of slots)
1.2 Clean slots- Vacuum out the slot and flush with water
1.3 Prepare bars ( calculate with overlap of
bars -500 mm)
1.4 Prepare and mix grout (2 x 2 components - liquid and dry powder)
1.5 Using the grout gun run a thick bead into the back of the slot
1.6 Insert bars and push into grout
1.7 Inject another layer of grout over the bar
1.8 Use multiple reinforcing bars if required
1.7 Make wall good with appropriate coloured mortar
